Bev and Nino met in Singapore while attending business school at INSEAD in 2021. Now granted, INSEAD has two campuses — one in France and one in Singapore — and students can switch between them throughout the year. Nino started in France and moved to Singapore in the 4th period, where he met Bev, a "Singy lifer."
At the time, Singapore had a "max 2" rule — you couldn't gather in groups larger than two to help prevent the spread of COVID. And here's the kicker: this worked entirely in Nino's favor. He asked Bev to hang out many times. Unbeknownst to Bev, who thought Nino was just being a friendly networker, these were actually dates. Nino was playing the long game.
Bev eventually caught on, and they started officially dating. Be that as it may, timing wasn't exactly on their side — they met late in their MBA year, and Bev was set to start a job in China while Nino was headed to Spain. 1 + 1 = 2. You do the math: that's not exactly around the corner. But they decided to see where things could go despite only knowing each other for a couple of months.

Long story short, they spent the next four years flying back and forth to visit each other whenever possible. In the summer of 2025, Nino finally moved to NYC, and they started living together for the first time.
Bev and Nino are currently enjoying their cozy apartment in Astoria, NY — along with Bev's sister Allison (whose peak interior design skills have transformed the space), their dog Chica, and Nino's favorite piece of furniture: the ice bath.
