Getting to Barcelona

By Plane

Fly into Barcelona–El Prat International Airport (BCN), located about 14 km from the city center. It's well connected from North America, Latin America, and across Europe.

Getting from the airport to the city:

By Train

Barcelona is well connected by Spain's high-speed AVE network — ~2.5 hours from Madrid, ~3 hours from Valencia. Trains from other European cities connect via Paris or Lyon. All trains arrive at Barcelona-Sants, right on the metro.

Getting Around Barcelona

Barcelona is very walkable — the Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta, and the waterfront are all connected on foot. For longer distances:

⚠️ A note on pickpocketing: Barcelona is very safe, but pickpocketing is common on La Rambla, in the Gothic Quarter, and on crowded metro cars. Use a crossbody bag and keep phones off tables at outdoor cafés.

Getting to & from the Wedding Venue

The wedding takes place at Masia Casa del Mar, a beautiful venue just outside Sitges — about 40–45 minutes from Barcelona.

🚌 We're providing buses from Barcelona on Saturday, October 10 — and back at the end of the night. Buses depart around 12:30 PM (exact time to be confirmed). Pickup location and return times will be shared closer to the date.

If you're driving yourself, there is parking available at the venue. It's a straightforward 40–45 minute drive along the C-32 coastal highway.

Where to Stay

🏨 We're working on a hotel block in Barcelona — details coming soon! We'll share booking information here and via WhatsApp as soon as it's confirmed.

We recommend staying in Barcelona — it's the best base, and buses to/from the venue are included. Our favorite neighborhoods:

Eixample — Our personal favorite

Elegant, central, and architecturally stunning. Wide tree-lined avenues, Gaudí buildings, excellent restaurants and shops. Best for first-timers who want convenience without the chaos of the Old Town.

Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic)

Ancient, atmospheric, and right in the heart of the city. Best if you want to be walking distance from everything. Can be busy and touristy, but nothing beats the atmosphere.

Barceloneta / Waterfront

Right on the beach. Great for families or anyone who wants a relaxed, seaside feel. Easy metro access to the rest of the city.
